We all know that time is of the essence in the morning, and overnight oats are the perfect solution for that. Swiftly prepared the night before, placed in the fridge, and ready to be enjoyed the following morning.

I especially adore fruity flavor combinations with berries, such as these Greek Yogurt Overnight Oats with Blueberries. This recipe right here, however, is paired with fresh raspberries. Quite tasty in every way!

Here’s what makes my recipe stand out:

Ingredients

To create these yummy overnight oats with raspberries and chia seeds, you’ll only require a few simple ingredients:

Overhead shot of ingredients for the overnight oats: Rolled oats, chia seeds, coconut flakes, milk and raspberries.
  • Rolled oats: The base of our recipe. Rolled oats, old fashioned oats, or quick oats are the way to go here.
  • Chia seeds: Upon absorbing liquid, these beneficial seeds swell and provide the dish with a very distinct but lovely texture. Plus, they are high in fiber, making them a nutritious powerhouse. They don’t call it a ‘superfood’ for no reason. 😉
  • Coconut flakes (or shredded coconut): Add a delightfully refreshing flavor to our overnight oats.
  • Milk: I used cow’s milk as the main source of liquid in this recipe.
  • Fresh raspberries: In terms of flavor, these colorful berries pair perfectly with the remaining ingredients, while also providing a healthy dose of essential nutrients. Of course, feel free to use any other berries of your choice!

If you’re looking for a vegan alternative to regular cow’s milk, go with oatmilk instead.

Instructions

These raspberry overnight oats with chia seeds are quite simple to prepare. Here’s what you need to do:

Step 1

Combine oats, chia seeds, coconut flakes, and milk (or vegan alternative) in a small bowl and incorporate well. Leave to swell for a brief moment and give it another good stir.

Step 2

Now let’s add the raspberries or whichever berry you’d like to include. You can either fold them into your oat chia seed mix and transfer to your glass jar, or layer them on top after transferring your oat mix to your overnight container. Alternatively, you can wait until the morning to add your berries. As always, your call ;).

Step 3

Place your airtight container with oats and chia seeds in the fridge overnight (or at least for a few hours), then simply grab and go (or sit) in the morning and enjoy!

Easy as pie, right?

In the mood for some garnish? If you want to visually jazz up your breakfast bowl, you can add some chopped nuts, nut butter, chia seeds, coconut flakes, or even other fruits. Feel free to garnish and decorate to your heart’s content.
